5,14: \Tplayback progress bar. It shows the current fraction through the sample by monitoring the PlaySample module. Click and/or drag the slider to reposition the sample pointer.

7,22: If this option is selected, the sample is converted automatically when a sample is loaded. The sample is cleared when the conversion is complete allowing the next one queued to convert automatically.
7,23: If this option is selected, the sample is played back automatically when a sample is loaded. The sample is cleared when the playback has finsihed allowing the next one queued to play automatically.
7,24-25: This area controls how to set up the sound system upon starting SoundCon.
7,26: \Sensure the speaker setting is not changed when SoundCon is started.
7,27: \Smake SoundCon switch off the internal speaker when it loads.
7,28: \Smake SoundCon switch on the internal speaker when it loads.
7,29: If this option is selected, the PlaySample volume is set to level below when SoundCon is started. It is left unchanged otherwise.
7,30: \Dchange the default PlaySample volume to use on starting SoundCon. It is only used if the option above is selected.
7,31-32: This area controls what the default filename for conversion should be when a sample is loaded.
7,33: \Skeep the filename as it was before the loading.
7,34: \Schange the leafname to that of the loaded sample but with the same directory path as was used for the last save. This is useful for converting several files and putting them in another directory preserving the name.
7,35: \Smake SoundCon reset the conversion filename to a leaf-only name. You will need to drag the icon where you want it.
7,36: Selecting this option gives the default filename an extenstion of the form '/xxx'.
7,37-43: Other general options are set in here.
7,39: Selecting this option makes SoundCon repsond to double-clicks on files. It only repsonds if it recognises it as a sound file.
7,40: Selecting this option allows SoundCon to play sounds for ArcWeb when you click on a sound.
7,42: This is the font that SoundCon will use. Click on the button to the right to choose a new one.
7,43: \Schoose a new font for SoundCon to use.

M11,6: \Sinterpret as signed linear samples. The sample is stored as a 2's complement number whos values is directly proportional to the instantaneous amplitude. Switching to/from unsigned linear is simply inverting the sign bit.
M11,7: \Sinterpret as unsigned linear samples. The sample is stored so that (eg 8 bit) 0..255 represents max -ve vol..max +ve vol with zero volume being 128 (32768 in 16 bit).
M11,8: \Sinterpret as µ-law. This is an 8-bit logarithmic format (7-bit mag + sign) that is more suitable for recording sound because of the better dynamic range (appx equiv to 12-bit linear).
M11,9: \Sinterpret as VIDC - the format used internally on the Arc' sound system. The 8-bit logarithms are similar to µ-law samples having better dynamic range than linear samples of the same size.
M12: Select one of these to choose how many frames/second the data should be played/interpreted as.
M12,13: \S keep the interpretation frequency the same as when loaded. If the frequency was not known when loaded, a default is used (see preferences).
M13: These are the formats that can be converted to. Sub-configurations are available in the sub-menus.
M14: Select a frequency to convert the sample to; the data will be resampled at this frequency. The audible pitch is not altered (use interpretation frequency) resulting only in a space and quality change.
